- The detachment to the Führer Reserve must have taken place before 20 May since the author is not listed in the officers' list of 20.05.1941. In that list, sergeants are only listed when they hold an officer position as platoon leaders, but only officers are listed as being in the Führerreserve. Those commanded to the Führerreserve, however, remained with the troops beyond 6 June (KTB 257. I.D. T-315 Roll 1803 Frame 000023) like the author, who joined the Führerreserve after arriving in the Radymno area on 17 June in the morning, but before 21 June in the evening when the regiment advanced to its attack positions (Frame 000096), and therefore only now experienced himself as belonging to it.
