1 May 1948. Good food, and since birthday children always get a second helping from the kitchen on their feast day, I was particularly lucky this time. But otherwise the usual measures on holidays: frisking and locking up 9 men, for security reasons. (Last year, all the officers here were locked up over 1 May for this reason).
Here, too, the Russians use our dentist and our sauna.
We cut wood in the forest. The food is supposed to be brought out to us, but our guards don't send for it. So we stay the whole day without food, and with all this hard work!
