18 Feb 48. 12 degrees cold. At the tractor factory: nothing works, nothing fits, no spare parts, no electricity. Nevertheless, production is said to have already exceeded the pre-war level. What must it have looked like before the war! - The payment of wages is delayed because they are expecting secondments and transfers of prisoners of war to other camps. Then these cheaters can keep the money for themselves again.
End of February 48. An accident (broken finger) is suspected as sabotage. Interrogation by MVD[1]. - Mail only from the Soviet Occupation Zone. Other mail is often not delivered. It probably contains news that we are not supposed to know.
