2 June 46. Today a work detail went to weed the field of a Soviet officer. The comrades brought the weeded weeds with them to cook and put in the food. Others pulled out the seed potatoes that were still usable and pressed the potato weeds down again. Ivan will be surprised when his potatoes die.
