Now my parents have also announced their visit. I run to all the hotels to get a room. It’s difficult. In the end, I have to go to the Elste hotel at the railway station, where we didn’t really want to go any more. Here I can still get a room. It's high time, my parents are about to arrive. I leave the hotel in a hurry and want to turn off in the direction of the barracks. I am hailed. I look up and am standing in front of my parents, right in front of the hotel entrance. I would have walked past in a hurry if Dad hadn’t recognised me. They had pushed a walking stick through the suitcase handles and carried the suitcase in pairs. I lead them straight up to their room. There we talk about the course of the journey and then I have to go back to the barracks.
