The bombardment does not seem to have had much success, for the very next day the battery fired again. It is probably a railway gun.[2]
Still the Russian is trying to force a breakthrough to Slavyansk via Krassnoarmeisk. Under the fire of the Soviet batteries, the village sinks into rubble. We can hardly move outside during the day. For weeks we defended the village against furious attacks. Even the concentrated artillery fire did not wear us down. We have not retreated one step. Now we are to be relieved.
